James Burchfield

James Burchfield served as a Congressional staffer for over six years. Most recently, he functioned as Senior Policy Adviser to Chairman Steve Chabot where he led the Congressman’s strategic policy agenda on foreign policy and judiciary issues. Additionally, he served as a Professional Staff Member for the House Committee on Small Business where he spearheaded the Committee’s cyber security and trade agendas. James also worked as majority staff on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and the Subcommittee on Asia & the Pacific where he focused on trade, cyber security, and unconventional energy in Asia.

James is currently a visiting fellow at the Antonin Scalia Law School’s National Security Institute. James earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and international affairs from Loyola University of Chicago and has received executive education from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government in trade policy.
