Eric Stewart, President

Eric Stewart a Partner with the Washington, DC firm of Williams & Jensen, PLLC. Mr. Stewart also serves as President and Founder of the following five business groups:

• American-Central European Business Association (ACEBA)
• American-Lithuanian Business Council (ALBC)
• American-Romanian Business Council (AMRO)
• U.S. – Poland Business Council (USPBC)
• U.S. – Turkmenistan Business Council (USTBC)

Prior to joining Williams & Jensen, Mr. Stewart served as the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for Europe/Eurasia at the Department of Commerce and as a Senior Advisor to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

In 2006, Mr. Stewart was awarded the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary by the President of Hungary for his outstanding contributions to fostering Hungarian-American economic relations. In 2012, Mr. Stewart was awarded the Knights Cross of the Order of Merit by the President of the Republic of Poland for Mr. Stewart’s formation of the US-Poland Business Council. He is also a member of the Atlantic Council.

Mr. Stewart, who holds a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University, also served three years on the University’s National Alumni Board of Directors as well as received the Ohio University 2002 Outstanding Recent Graduate Award.

Mr. Stewart is often called upon by Members of Congress for his views on bilateral and regional economic relations with foreign countries.
